Solar electrical services in Wenatchee

Solar begins with your property, your utility and what you want the system to do. Let’s put those details ahead of assumptions.

Rooftop solar installation · A Columbia Electrical project

Columbia Electrical offers solar installation and electrical services for Wenatchee and surrounding North Central Washington communities. We review the property, proposed equipment and electrical service to define the installation scope and utility coordination needed for your project.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

Understand the system before you commit.

01

Goals & site assessment

Discuss energy production, backup priorities or a new construction requirement alongside site access, shading and available space.

02

Electrical service review

Evaluate existing service and panel conditions, proposed equipment and connection requirements before the scope is finalized.

03

Solar electrical installation

Define the electrical integration, equipment locations, wiring routes and installation responsibilities in the written proposal.

04

Battery & inverter planning

If storage is part of the project, discuss compatible equipment, the loads you want supported and how those goals affect the scope.

05

Utility coordination

Identify the serving utility and its current interconnection process. Utility approval and inspection milestones affect the schedule.

06

Testing & handoff

Review operation, relevant documentation and responsibilities for inspection or utility closeout as part of the project handoff.

A BETTER WAY TO PLAN

Local rates matter. So do your goals.

Solar economics vary by property and utility. Chelan PUD cautions that its low electricity rates can make grid-connected solar difficult to justify on bill savings alone. We start with your goals and a project-specific review instead of promising a particular payback.

SCOPE, PRICE & APPROVAL

Understand the work.
Approve the next step.

Scope and price depend on system design, equipment, electrical upgrades, wiring routes, mounting responsibilities and utility requirements. Ask for a proposal that separates included electrical work from other project work. Incentives, energy production and payback are not assumed or guaranteed.

We explain discoveries before they become surprises and ask for approval before additional work or cost.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Questions, answered.

Clear answers to help you plan your next step.

Will solar lower my bill enough to pay for the installation?

That requires a project-specific calculation using your utility rates, usage, system cost and expected production. Chelan PUD cautions that its low rates can make grid-connected solar financially unattractive. We do not promise a savings amount or payback period.

Can I include battery storage?

We can discuss battery and inverter integration as part of the electrical scope. The equipment, loads to be supported and desired operation must be reviewed together before availability, compatibility or performance is promised.

Which utility requirements apply to my project?

The property’s serving utility determines the applicable interconnection process. Chelan PUD and Douglas PUD publish their own solar or net-metering information. Your address and utility account identify where to start.

Does installing solar require an electrical service upgrade?

An upgrade is not assumed. We review the existing service, proposed connection and equipment requirements before identifying any necessary changes.

What should I bring to a solar consultation?

Share your address, utility, electricity usage, system goals and any existing design or equipment proposal. Site photos and plans can help prepare the discussion; final scope still requires a project review.
